This ticket was issued for Game 4 of the 1907 World Series (Game 1 at Detroit) not Game 1 of the Series. The PSA label is currently being changed and an updated image with corrected label will be posted soon.
The 1907 World Series once again featured the National's Chicago Cubs going up against the American's Detroit Tigers who had just edged out the previous year's champion Philadelphia Athletics in a fierce pennant race. After a Game 1 tie that ended 3-3 after 12 innings the Cubs took the next two games from Detroit ( 3-1 and 5-1 respectively) to take charge of the Series. Game 4 would follow similar suit as the Cubs tallied a series-high six runs while once again holding the Tigers to a single run. Chicago pitcher Orval Overall helped his own cause by singling in two runs in the top half of the fifth to put his team ahead 2-1. The Cubs added four more while Overall allowed just one hit over the last five innings to take the victory. This PSA encapsulated AUTHENTIC full ticket to Game 4 of the 1907 World Series between the Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs played on October 11 at Bennett Park in Detroit is the second earliest full World Series ticket recorded in the population census of both PSA and SGC. Three full tickets have been slabbed by PSA for the 1907 World Series however this is the only one in any condition for Game 4 the Tigers' very first World Series home game. The ticket shows some creasing with small tears at bottom and top center edges yet still displays nicely.
