Beautiful 1888 N219 Kinney Harlequin Cards (1st Series) complete set of 52 glued onto a pair of vintage album pages, probably sometime in the early 1890's. The Harlequin cards are a deck of playing cards with different ornate drawings on each. Incredible color imagery still bright and fresh after all these years, protected by being placed inside an album. The 11 1/2" by 16 3/4" pages have 26 cards per page, lined up neatly 3 rows across. Both pages have held up well over time and are not as brittle as most of the others from this vintage find. The vast majority of cards present in EX-MT to NM or better from the front. The fact this person had so many complete sets with so many different cards leads us to believe that the original owner possibly worked in the company that produced them. Beautiful group!
