The story of the NBA off-season has been Kevin Durant who made the difficult decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder and sign with the Golden State Warriors. Durant was the #2 overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics and spent his first nine seasons with the relocated Thunder franchise. He came close to winning a title with OKC in 2012 losing to the Miami Heat in the Finals and again this past season. The Thunder ran out to a 3-1 series lead in the 2016 Western Conference Finals against the 73-9 Warriors only to lose three straight and get eliminated. So now KD heads to the Bay and joins the Dubs in his quest for that elusive championship. Presented here is a pair of KD's 2015-16 game-worn signature model Nike shoes from the Thunder's New Year's Eve battle against the Phoenix Suns. The 6'9" forward scored 23 points on 9-21 shooting in OKC's 110-106 home victory. Durant averaged 28.2 points during the season slightly above his remarkable 27.4 career average. The shoes come courtesy of Durant's exclusive memorabilia provider Panini Authentic.
The eights edition of Durant's signature model Nike line these size 18 'KD 8' gamers come in wolf gray navy and various blue colors. The "KD" logo appears on the tongue decorated with an abstract pattern of shapes in blue and gray. The outsoles have a more surreal artistic pattern. The rather simplistic and efficient structural design--a low lace-up lightweight feel--suits KD's game and court demeanor: all business. The insoles have been removed likely in favor of a customized orthotic insert that Durant uses for his surgically repaired foot. KD has signed each shoe on the outer midsole in shiny 10/10 silver marker and added "12-31-15 23 pts" on each navy Swoosh logo. The sneakers display appropriate wear and can be matched to numerous game photos. Fantastic pair of KD gamers from his final season in OKC. The next chapter in Golden State awaits and the world is eager to watch him play alongside the Splash Brothers Draymond Green and company. Original Panini Authentic black box is included
