Last season Ben Roethlisberger turned in another stellar campaign throwing for 3819 yards and 29 touchdowns (in just 14 games) and leading the Pittsburgh Steelers to an 11-5 record atop the AFC North division. He took his team to the AFC Championship where they fell to the eventual Super Bowl-winning New England Patriots. In association with his agency Rep 1 Sports Big Ben is offering his game-worn and dual-signed Nike turf shoes from Pittsburgh’s hard-fought 24-20 road victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on December 18 2016. Ben threw for 286 yards and a touchdown in a wild comeback as Pittsburgh overcame a 20-6 deficit to stun their bitter rivals—yet another memorable performance by the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
The size 14 Nike ‘Field General 3’ turf shoes exhibit obvious game use with pieces of Paul Brown Stadium artificial turf still stuck on the bottoms. Designed in Steelers colors with a yellow crisscross pattern on the exterior the shoes can easily be photo-matched to game photos. The Nike interior tagging reads “SEASON FA16” for the season of use and “PROMO SAMPLE” to indicate player-issued status. Underneath each tongue is “Cinci” penned in black most likely by the equipment manager. Each shoe has been autographed on the lower ankle by Big Ben in 8-9/10 black marker with his uniform No. “7” inscribed. See Getty 630209516 and others for photo-matches.
