Featured here is an awesome pair of Kobe Bryant game-worn sneakers from a November 20 2012 home game against the Brooklyn Nets signed and inscribed by the Laker legend himself and sourced directly from Panini as part of their exclusive contract with "The Black Mamba." Kobe scored 25 points on 8-15 from the floor with 5 assists and 4 rebounds in the Lakers' 95-90 win at the Staples Center. As a whole the 2012-13 season did not go as planned for the Los Angeles Lakers. After acquiring Dwight Howard and Steve Nash in the off-season the team was expected to contend for another NBA title. I'm sure that's what Kobe had in mind needing just one more to tie Michael Jordan at six. Unfortunately an early season coaching change and injuries to key players were too much to overcome. Kobe certainly did his part putting up monster numbers in the regular season with averages of 27.3 points 6 assists and 5.6 rebounds. Just another ho-hum All-Star 1st Team All-NBA season. In the 80th game of the season Kobe ruptured his Achilles tendon to all but end the Lakers' title hopes. They were swept int he first round by the Spurs without Bryant.
The nifty Nike "Kobe VII" model low-top shoes size 14 come mostly in white with Lakers themed colors of black gold purple. The have a unique gray plastic heel section with a facsimile "Kobe" signature stamped in purple. The yellow interior is stamped with "PLAY STRONG" on the insole. The black tongues have Kobe's Nike gear logo in purple. The serial number "HO12-MNBSKT-358-350874 Y3" and "PROMO SAMPLE 2012 08 02" tagging accurately indicate that these were made specifically for Kobe and were not issued for public consumption. They come with the original black laces and show appropriate game use. Kobe has signed the right shoe and inscribed the left with "11-20-12 vs. Nets" on the purple Swoosh in shiny 10/10 silver pen. Original Panini black box included.
