Playing for America's Team under the NFL's most visible and powerful owner Tony Romo has always had a target on his back in Big D. And while critics continue to point to his shortcomings in the playoffs there's no denying the guy's immense talent and athleticism at quarterback. Year in and year out he puts up huge numbers and has a knack for making big plays both inside and outside the pocket. After undergoing back surgery that ended his 2013 season in late December Romo led the Dallas Cowboys to an impressive 12-4 record in 2014 and their first division crown since 2009 all while dealing with yet another bad back injury mid-season. No one can deny his toughness either. If not for that controversial Dez Bryant call in their NFC Divisional playoff game againt the Packers who knows how far the Cowboys could have gone in 2014. Romo had a remarkably efficient afternoon completing 17 of 23 passes for 279 yards 3 touchdowns and an interception in Dallas' 31-21 victory over Eli Manning and company. The Cowboys white jersey has Romo's number "9" on the front back and both shoulders in blue tackle twill. Inside the rear collar is a "2014" strip tag next to the Nike and NFL tag with "46" "Q-BK" and serial number "219110031875". Romos Captain "C" patch appears over the right chest with 4 gold stars denoting the number of years he has been an honorary team captain. Sleeves feature the Nike logo patch and two Cowboy stripes in blue with black outlines. The "NFL" logo patch is on the front V-Neck. "ROMO" appears on back in blue tackle twill on a white nameplate. The shirttail has a customized elastic cuff with the laundry tag inside the left front tail. The jersey looks smells and feels like a game-used beauty with reddish brown contact marks on the white fabric front and back. There is some fraying on the back letters and light blue paint transfer on the back left shoulder. The front number 9 has a crease on the blue tackle twill that is easily identified in the attached game photos from Getty. On the back right shoulder there are two rather noticeable brown spots that are also clearly visible in the attached post-game photos when Romo crashes teammate DeMarco Murray's interview.
