The late great Wilt Chamberlain was one of the NBAs flashiest and most successful players ever. Although drafted by the Philadelphia Warriors in 1959 Chamberlain would cement his NBA legend by winning his second NBA title with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1972 just one year before he retired as a player. He was named the NBA Finals MVP that year. It was during that season in fact that the Lakers set the NBA record with 33 straight victories. A giant at 7 2 tall Chamberlain was a scoring threat in every game he played. His highest output ever which remains an NBA single-game record was set in 1962 when the Warriors hosted the New York Knicks in Hershey Pennsylvania on March 2 and scored 100 points. This lot includes an autographed first-edition hardcover copy of his autobiography entitled A View from Above. A 283-page look into Wilts innermost thoughts about life and his career the book includes his signature in black fine-point pen on the inside title page. It includes the inscription: Peace. Wilt a seven-time NBA scoring champ was inducted posthumously into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

Includes Letter of Provenance from collector Bruce Tennen.
