From Warren Moon's personal collection comes this fascinating trio of items from his first professional career the six years in Canada that earned him a whopping free-agent signing eventually with the NFL and firmly planted him in the Canadian Football League Hall of Fame. The first piece is a heavy wood 8 1/2-by-11-inch table standee that was from the Induction Dinner of Canada's Sports Hall of Fame. The two-sided wood board provides date and place details about the dinner along with photos of seven Canadian sports legends on hand including Moon. Both sides of the standee are identical save only for a silver Sharpie Moon autograph that graces one side along with his inscription of his 2001 Canadian Hall of Fame induction. The piece comes with a 5-inch-square black-and-white wooden stand that is sturdy enough to hold up the heavy board. The second piece is a 16-by-20-inch photographic enlargement of a newspaper page from The Gazette in Montreal providing the results of the 1982 Grey Cup and picturing the game's MVP - you guessed it - in a black-and-white photo that is further enhanced by Moon's black Sharpie autograph and Canadian HOF inscription. The enlargement is mounted on a heavy foamcore board that provides considerable protection and heft. The final piece is a 7 1/2-by-10-1/2-inch metal plaque honoring Moon as the MVP of the Western Division of the CFL in 1983. The plaque is then mounted on a polished wood board to overall dimensions of 9-by-12 inches; Moon has added his autograph in black Sharpie and "CHOF '01" inscription on the back of the board. All elements appear to be essentially as-issued and problem-free.
