For almost a quarter of a century--1954 to 1976--Walter Alston traveled the country as skipper of the Dodgers. This trunk as well traveled as its owner accompanied Alston as his Dodgers won seven pennants and four World Championships. The body of the personal traveling trunk is painted black and a leather tag reading “WALTER ALSTON”is attached beneath its handle. There are six vintage Los Angeles Dodgers stickers affixed to the trunk’s ouster surfaces along with one which has been torn off. The trunk has dimensions of 32" by 24" by 10" and shows significant use its surface dinged and scuffed as it traveled around the country with Alston and his Dodgers. A great piece from the man who brought the Dodgers four World Championships.
