Offered here is a wonderful ensemble from legendary Dodgers manager Walt Alston who directed the fortunes of the club for 23 seasons between 1954 and 1976 winning 2040 games seven National League Pennants and four World Series crowns. All three pieces are from his personal collection a lineup that includes a striking jacket road pants from 1976 and a remarkably pristine cap from the same era. The Size 50 blue nylon jacket has W.A. Goodman & Sons tagging at the back of the collar and a team strip tag below with "24" handwritten in marker. The jacket is an absolute stunner with the famed cursive "Dodgers" across the chest in white tackle twill blue and white knit elastic on the cuffs waist and collar and the white-trimmed zipper path showing excellent game wear with all elements intact and largely as-issued and problem free. The grey road pants are in similarly pristine condition with strip tag with "Alston 38/23 Set 2 '76" embroidered in blue chain stitching at the back of the waist and the famed W.A. Goodman & Sons Size 38 label with wash instructions at the front left waist. Pants reveal game use but like the jacket and cap remain in superior condition largely as-issued and problem free with no sign of alterations of any description. Both the 1965 and 1968 grey flannel road pants have the Size 38 Rawlings label on the inside right hip with wash instructions tag alongside and flag tag with "Set 1 1965" and "Set 1 1968" below respectively. "Alston 38 27" is stitched in Dodger Blue on the 1965 pants and "Alston 39 26" on the 1968 pants. Both show game use but remain in superior condition largely as-issued and problem free with no sign of alterations of any description. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Family of Walter Alston. The handsome Dodger blue cap has the New Era label at the back of the headband with flap tag with Size 7 3/8 next to that with significant wear visible in the headband including some light cracking throughout. The cap boasts the iconic interlocking "LA" on the front in white embroidery; there is virtually no fraying of stitching on the cap or the brim. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Family of Walter Alston.
