Presented here is a super condition team-signed baseball from the 1968 Los Angeles Dodgers a team that struggled in the "Year of the Pitcher" despite having Don Drysdale's remarkable season in which he pitched 58 consecutive scoreless innings. That kind of dominance when Drysdale tossed eight shutouts with a 2.15 ERA and yet managed only a 14-12 record left the Dodgers in seventh place and in the unfamiliar position of waiting till next year. This team-signed Dodgers baseball from the collection of the team's legendary manager Walt Alston claims 20 autographs on an Official National League Giles ball with signatures that have been nicely applied in blue ballpoint many uncommonly bold and vivid in strength and hardly a whisper of smudging of the autographs. The roster of signers includes: Alston on the sweet spot Drysdale Sutton Fairly Osteen Ozark Popovich Gabrielson Savage Torborg and Sudakis. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Walter Alston Collection.
