Talk about an historic item: this is a team-signed Los Angeles Dodgers baseball from their inaugural season in LA a stunning piece of MLB memorabilia marking the first team transferred from the East that would quickly ascend to the upper echelon and remain a National powerhouse for decades. This remarkable team-signed Dodgers baseball comes from the collection of the team's legendary manager Walt Alston and commemorates a transcendent moment in baseball's long history. This Official National League Giles ball with a total of 23 signatures that have been applied in a mostly uniform blue ballpoint has only a few small smudges and one solitary red ink autograph from Gil Hodges that has bled a bit. The roster of signers includes: Alston on the sweet spot Reese Koufax Drysdale Hodges Furillo Gilliam Erskine Roseboro Jackson Roebuck Bessent Gray Larker Kipp Valo and Pignatano. The Snider and Zimmer autographs are assessed to be clubhouse signatures. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Walter Alston Collection.
