Offered here is a nice trio of Washington Wizards game worn jerseys that of the non-traditional variety. The first one was worn by Kelly Oubre Jr. during the 2015-16 season and is a road version in Chinese in honor of Chinese New Year. The red jersey has white Chinese characters in place of the team’s usual Latin letters across the chest with Oubre’s number “12” below in black and silver. The back has “OUBRE JR” in white above his number “12” in silver and black. The lower left front tail has an Adidas XL label with a “LENGTH +2” hang tag. Adjacent to this is a serial numbered NBA label.
In addition this lot includes a pair of virtually identical “The District” home white Wizards jerseys from the 2018-19 season worn by Kelly Oubre Jr. and Otto Porter. The jerseys have “The District” logo instead of “Wizards” across the front with Porter’s number “22” on one and Oubre’s number “12” on the other. Both have the player name across the back shoulders and their numbers below. Both have a Nike label with hang tags in the lower left tail and a serial numbered NBA label. All three jerseys show appropriate game use. A unique grouping seldom encountered uniform variations.
Sourced from a collector with close ties to the Wizards. Oubre is now a rising star with a young exciting Phoenix Suns team. Porter is now plays for the Chicago Bulls.
