The New York Yankees have produced many of baseballs most revered players. Three such players were Mickey Mantle Joe DiMaggio and Lefty Gomez. Mantle. A three-time American League MVP launched 536 home runs; DiMaggio still holds the MLB record for consecutive games with a hit (56 set in 1941; and Gomez was an accomplished pitcher in pinstripes who racked up 189 wins over 13 seasons in the Bronx. This lot includes three single-signed baseballs from this terrific trio of players. Mantles signature in blue ink graces the sweet spot of an official American League (Brown) baseball. DiMaggios autograph also in blue ink is found on the sweet spot of a branded National Old Timers Classic baseball while Gomezs scrawl can be found centered perfectly in blue ink on the sweet spot of an official National League (Giamatti) baseball. For the record Gomez spent his final season in Major League Baseball with the Washington Senators in 1943. All signatures rate 9/10.
Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Skowron Family. Also includes 3 Certificates of Authenticity signed by Bill "Moose" Skowron one for each ball. "Moose" appeared at dozens of autograph shows in the 1980's with Mickey Mantle and other Yankee greats.
