Tony Gwynn was the star right fielder for the San Diego Padres for 20 seasons. He lost his life last year following a long battle with salivary gland cancer. Gwynn was a Hall of Famer who batted a career .338 and collected 3141 hits during his two decades in the league. This lot includes six National League All-Star Team multi-signed baseballs from Gwynns private collection. Though fading is evident on several of the baseballs many of the signatures are legible. In fact in our estimation the signature average ratings on each of the baseballs would be as follows: 1984 5/6; 1985(Dick Williams clubhouse signed) 4/5; 1986 5/6 (both); 1987 7/8; 1991 3/4. Includes two 1986 balls (one on ONL-Feeney). Besides Gwynns signature on each of the baseballs the two top baseballs in this lot would be the 1984 and 1987 versions. The 1984 baseball includes signatures from fellow Hall of Famers including Gary Carter (the games MVP) Mike Schmidt Ozzie Smith as well as Dwight Gooden Bob Brenly and Rafael Ramirez. The autograph of National League Manager Paul Owens (Phillies) has been deemed by PSA to be clubhouse signed rests on the sweet spot. The Dale Murphy has been deemed clubhouse as well. As for the 1987 All-Star baseball top signatures include Ozzie Smith Eric Karros Rick Reuschel Steve Bedrosian Al Holland Bob Brenly Tim Wallach and Lee Smith.

Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Gwynn Family.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
