"Tom Terrific" signs this Official National League (Coleman) baseball on the sweet spot in bold blue ink. The signature is complete, sharply defined and beautifully placed, displaying exactly the way collectors want a single-signed ball to look.

Seaver arrived in New York in 1967 and was immediately named National League Rookie of the Year. Two seasons later he led the "Miracle Mets" to a stunning World Series title while capturing the first of his three Cy Young Awards, and he would add two more in 1973 and 1975. Known simply as "The Franchise" in Queens, Seaver finished his career with 311 wins, 3,640 strikeouts, a 2.86 ERA and twelve All-Star selections. His 1992 Hall of Fame election came with 98.84 percent of the vote, a record that stood for more than two decades.

The Rawlings ball presents very well, with clean horsehide, bright red stitching and crisp Leonard S. Coleman league president stamping. Only faint, light toning is present on a few panels, and the overall eye appeal is excellent. The ball carries a JSA authentication sticker along with an additional numbered hologram.

Seaver stepped away from public life in his final years and passed in 2020, making quality single-signed baseballs like this one increasingly desirable. An outstanding example for Mets collectors, Hall of Fame ball collectors or anyone assembling a run of the greatest pitchers of all time. Authenticated by JSA with the corresponding sticker affixed.
