Treat yourself to a New York Jets throwback helmet worn by running back Thomas Jones in a November 1 2009 home game vs. the Miami Dolphins. Edwards had a nice day carrying it 27 times for 102 yards and adding a 28-yard reception Ultimately his performance was overshadowed by a record day from the Dolphins' Ted Ginn Jr. who had two 100+ yard kickoff returns for touchdowns (both in the 3rd quarter) helping Miami escape with a 25-20 win. The 2009 season was clearly Jones' best in his 12-year career as he finished 3rd in the NFL in both rushing yards (1402)and rushing TD's (14).
This navy blue Riddell L throwback helmet with gold stripe commemorates the New York Titans and the AFL's 50th anniversary. No numbers appear on the back as was the style of that era. Edward's number '20' sticker appears inside the right earhole. The shell of the helmet shows awesome game use with a large gash to front and turquoise marks that seem to match the Miami Dolphins team colors all understandable in a game in which he touched the ball 28 times. There are also several black markings on facemask. The chinstrap and mouthpiece are included. All elements are essentially as-issued in problem-free condition.
Comes with a New York Jets COA signed by Chris Pierce Sr. Director of Merchandise Sales.
