Every spring Little Leaguers across the country mimic his stance and squabble over the right to wear his number 2 the next number to be retired by the worlds most famous baseball team. Derek Jeter is the modern hero who walked in the footsteps of Ruth Gehrig DiMaggio and Mantle and someday his shadow will loom just as large. Yet he has never been the best player in baseball. In fact he hasnt always been the best player on his team. But his intangible grace dignified leadership and Jordanesque ability to play big in the biggest of postseason moments made him the face of the modern Yankee dynasty and of Americas game.
For the last two decades Derek Jeter has also been the dominant figure in the hobby of baseball card and memorabilia collecting. Presented here is the culmination of one passionate Jeter collectors pursuit. What can only be described as The Ultimate Derek Jeter Autographed Card Collection includes 39 different Jeter autographed cards. Virtually every major card brand is represented in a group that features issues spanning from 1992-2007. All cards are authenticated and encapsulated by PSA. It seems logical that a PSA should create a Jeter autographed card category within their Set Registry.
