"Terrible" Terry Norris is a 4-time World Champion in the Light-Middleweight/Super-Welterweight (154-lb.) division. He won three titles (four if you include NABF) within the World Boxing Council (WBC) and reigned as champion for a cumulative total of six and half years. Featured here is his official WBC Lifetime Achievement Award belt honoring his three WBC titles. Norris is unsure of the exact date that his Lifetime Achievement Award belt was presented to him but typically this would occur at a WBC Convention or awards banquet honoring boxing's greatest champions. (It is the same design as those in the attached photo from the WBC's 49th annual convention in 2011 honoring George Foreman Sugar Leonard and Roy Jones Jr.)
Seemingly as untouched and pristine as the day it was awarded the green leather belt features a spectacular centerpiece metallic gold oval (8" in diameter) with the customary WBC logo in the middle encircled by 161 tiny hand-painted flags representing the number of current WBC member nations. The centerpiece is flanked by four stone-glassed medallions (2" in diameter) picturing the faces of Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali on the inside and Terry Norris (twice) on the outside. The Louis and Ali medallions are quite blurry for some reason. Norris has added his autograph and "3x WBC Champ" inscription in bold 10/10 black marker to the left side of the green strap which measures 45" in length. The reverse of the leather strap is black and is stamped with the "CLETO REYES" brand and "MADE IN MEXICO". The belt has a large brass buckle for fastening. Overall it presents in immaculate NM-MT condition essentially as-issued and problem-free from "Terrible" Terry Norris' personal collection.

Terrible Terry Norris certainly lived up to his nickname as a boxer but outside the ring is another story. A few years ago he and his wife Tanya started the Final Fight Foundation whose mission is to serve as a catalyst for the under-served athletes in health and retirement assistance during and after their careers. Norris now suffers from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Parkinsonism and Dementia brought on by years in the ring. A portion of the proceeds from his collection will go towards his foundation.
