During the 1940s only two batters ruled the roost in the American League: Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams. With the exception of the three years they both lost to active military service (1943 to 45) DiMaggio and Williams were center stage attractions every time they entered the batters box. This lot includes a dual-signed 8 by 10 black-and-white photo of the two legendary hitters chatting and leaning on their respective bats. They have both signed the photo in blue Sharpie and the signatures look strong drawing a rating of 7-8/10 in our book. The photo comes matted and framed and measures 14 wide by 17 high.
