Offered is the ring presented to Steve Sax for his fifth and final MLB All-Star appearance as a member of the New York Yankees in 1990. The 1990 Major League Baseball All-Star Game was played at Wrigley Field. This American League All-Star ring features a CZ on a baseball diamond inside a ruby colored stone on top surrounded by "1990 Baseball All-Star". Raised image of the American League logo on one side panel with "Chicago Cubs 1990 All-Star Game" on the other. Inside stamped "Balfour" and "Auralite". Shows light wear and comes with a letter from Steve Sax. Size 11.
A portion of the auction proceeds from all items sold in the Steve Sax Collection will benefit the foundation named for Steve’s son, John, who was one of five U.S. Marines killed in a training flight accident in June 2022 in the California desert. The Capt. John J. Sax Foundation “serves to support those who choose to further their education, exploration and passion for flight."
