The actual 1st base from San Diego's Jack Murphy Stadium given to Steve Garvey at the conclusion of the 1984 season to commemorate his year long error less fielding at that position. A layer of white paint has been applied to the base to allow a large image of the San Diego Padres logo to be drawn at the center. At top in large letters is printed "Steve Garvey". "1st. Base" is to the sides of the logo. At the bottom is printed "ERRORLESS SEASON" and "1984". Garvey has signed at the lower right side in 8-9/10 black felt tip pen "Steve Garvey 1984 "NLCS MVP"". Anchor post on back has been removed to allow base to lay flat.
