Impressive Baseball Writer's Association of America Di Giovanna Trophy given to Dodger Steve Garvey in 1975 as "The Player Who Most Typifies Dodger Tradition". The trophy is named in honor of Charlie "The Brow" Di Giovanna a long time Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodger Bat Boy and Club attendant who died prematurely at age 30 in 1961. 8 1/2" cup on top of a 4 1/2" by 4 1/2" by 6" wood base. Plate on front reads "STEVE GARVEY Los Angeles Dodgers Di Giovanna Trophy 1975". At the top is the official Baseball Writers Association of America logo. 14 1/4" trophy in nice condition.
