Don Larsen was 23 years-old when he broke into the big leagues on April 18 1953 with the St. Louis Browns making him one of the last active players with the team before the franchise move to Baltimore and became the Orioles a year later in 1954. Larsen joined the Yankees in 1955 and earned immortality with them by pitching a Perfect Game in the 1956 World Series. This interesting St. Louis Browns display piece was formerly part of the famed Barry Halper Collection of baseball memorabilia. The large Browns logo is crafted from die-cut wood and plastic components. It measures 18 by 31 and has been inscribed to Barry Halper from Larsen To my Pal Barry I was the last active St. Louis Brownie 1953-1968 Don Larsen. A small sword has broken off at the hand of the figure on horseback at top but the parts are included and can be repaired. NM condition otherwise. EX-Halper Collection. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
