Sportsman's Park St. Louis Missouri was the home field for the St Louis Browns(AL) from 1902-1953 and the St Louis Cardinals (NL) from 1920-1966. The stadium was opened in 1902 and demolished in 1966. The St. Louis Cardinals of the NFL also played games at Sportsman's Park from 1960-1965.
Offered is a pair of grandstand seats once used at the since-demolished ballpark. The three-panel wooden backrests and folding wooden seats are secured side by side within a metal frame shaped to form armrests and legs. Significant use is evident with areas of the vintage orange paint worn or flaked away to reveal traces of blue underneath. Additionally there is minor rust about the metal portion but the double seat retains an excellent vintage appearance and complete functionality.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
