Rollie Zeider began his professional career in 1905, which he split between the Crookston Crooks and Winnipeg Maroons of the Northern League. In 1909, he played third base for the minor-league San Francisco Seals briefly before being acquired from the Seals by the Chicago White Sox for $5,500 and two players. With the White Sox, as a rookie, Zeider accomplished what would end up being his career-high in stolen bases with 49, which was also a then modern-day MLB rookie record.  He reached the top 5 in stolen bases twice (1910, his rookie season, and 1912). Zeider was traded to the Yankees during the 1913 season and he appeared in 50 games with New York before moving on to the Chicago Chi-Feds of the Federal league the following season.  In a nine-season career, he batted .240 with 5 home runs and 253 RBIs in 941 games. In his only World Series appearance (1918 with the Cubs), Zeider had two plate appearances and walked twice. Zeider passed away on September 12, 1967 at the age of 83.

Presented here is a rare, and possibly unique, Rollie Zeider single signed baseball. MacGregor "Ralph Kiner League" baseball (B62 stamping dates it to 1951) features Zeider’s signature on a side panel and his printed name on an adjacent panel. A notation “1954” is written on the ball as well. Zeider’s signature rates 8-9/10 while the medium toned ball is EX-MT overall. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
