Presented here are four spectacular PSA-Graded full tickets from three milestone games from the great slugger Sammy Sosa including two from that remarkable season in 1998 when Sosa and Mark McGwire launched home runs at such an amazing clip that the record book would never look the same again. With a battle all summer long seemingly aimed at breaking Roger Maris' 1961 record of 61 home runs the story eventually turned to not whether the 37-year-old mark would be broken but when with attention then turning to just how many home runs would ultimately constitute the new all-time record. The Maris record fell to McGwire on Sept. 8 and later to Sosa; the first full ticket offered here is from Sosa's penultimate home run that season No. 65 on Sept. 23 against the Brewers. The ticket is a PSA Gem Mint 10 as is the second ticket from Sosa's final home run of that mind-bending campaign Sept. 25 against Houston. The final two full tickets are from Sosa's 500th home run which would come five years later in 2003 in a game in Cincinnati. One is a PSA Gem Mint 10 and the other a PSA 5. The group represents a striking chronicle of record-breaking events from one of the legendary sluggers of the modern era.
