The 1981 World Series pitted the Los Angeles Dodgers against the New York Yankees for the third time in five years. The Yanks took the first two cross-country Fall Classics, but third time was a charm for the Dodgers. The Dodgers emerged victorious in six games, and co-MVPs for the Series were awarded to Ron Cey, Pedro Guerrero, and Steve Yeager. 

 

Offered are the two commemorative bats Cey was given for the 1981 World Series victory. The Louisville Slugger has "LOS ANGELES DODGERS WORLD CHAMPIONS 1981" along with facsimile autographs from the members of the team. The Adirondack bat has "BIG STICK RON CEY PROFESSIONAL MODEL" on the barrel. A plaque is affixed that reads "LOS ANGELES DODGERS 1981 WORLD CHAMPIONS" and "DEFEATED NEW YORK YANKEES 4 GAMES TO 2 GAMES." Part of the Cey Collection being offered in this auction. 

Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received.
