Ron Cey tallied over 1,800 hits in his career, and presented is the ball he hit for his 1,500th career hit. On August 24, 1983, in a game against the Reds at Wrigley, Cey faced Mario Soto in the bottom of the fourth inning. Cey singled off Soto for his 1,500th career hit. The Cubs went on to beat the Reds 3-0 in the game. Accompanied by a Cey LOA and part of the Cey Collection in this auction.
