In addition to hoisting the 1994 FIFA World Cup trophy, Brazil also won the FIFA Fair Play Award given to the national team with the highest disciplinary score (least yellow and red cards per game) among those that advanced into the knockout rounds of the tournament hosted in the United States. Interestingly enough, Brazil won this award in spite of defender Leonardo receiving a straight red card for fracturing USA midfielder Tab Ramos' skull with an errant elbow in the Round 16. Hey, he did go to the hospital after the match to apologize in person.

In addition to the traditional gold-plated champion's medals issued to players, FIFA also awarded these Fair Play medals in similar size and shape to players. Measuring 50 mm in diameter and 3-4 mm thick, the obverse has an abstract raised image of a soccer player with the title of the award in raised lettering. The reverse simply has "FIFA" in raised letters. Made of an unknown metal composition with gold-colored plating, the medal weighs 53 grams and is crafted with a loop at the top where a ribbon once was, but no longer is, present.

This particular medal remains in terrific condition with light handling.It was issued to Brazil's star striker at the '94 World Cup, Romário, and comes with a letter of provenance from his ex-wife.
