Actual game used baseball from the October 7 1972 American League Championship game between the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers in which Hall of Fame pitcher Rollie Fingers recorded his first post season victory. Fingers pitched the last 3 innings as Oakland scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 11th to erase the run Fingers allowed in the top of the inning to win the game 3-2. Rollie has signed the baseball in perfect looking 9-10/10 dark blue ink on the sweet spot and inscribed the following "Oct. 7 72 First Win Playoffs 3-2 over Detroit Game #1". OAL(Cronin) ball displays good game use.
