The late great Roger Maris was a remarkable outfielder and power hitter for both the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals who is the man responsible for breaking Babe Ruth’s longstanding (34-year-old) record of 60 home runs in a single season. In 1961 Maris launched 61 round-trippers to break The Bambino’s mark and set the baseball world on fire. This lot features a single-signed medium toned ONL (Feeney) baseball autographed in blue felt tip ink by Maris on the west panel. His large signature remains strong and legible with light bleeding and would rate a solid 8/10 in our book. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (AG01595).
