Rod Woodson played 17 hard-hitting seasons in the NFL. His Hall of Fame career which included playing for four different teams ended after the 2002-03 season when he announced his retirement. His final two seasons in the league were spent starting at free safety for the Oakland Raiders. This lot includes Woodsons game-used and autographed Raiders helmet used during those two campaigns. The silver-and-black Riddell helmet size XL shows good game usage with marks and creases in the facemask area and on the sides. Sporting the iconic Raiders decaled logo on either side the helmet also includes the NFL logo Woodsons uniform number (26) and a small American flag on the rear. His uniform number can also be found in black marker next to both ear holes. His padded chin strap remains intact. Woodson has signed the helmet on the top left side in black fine-point marker and added the following inscription: My game used Raiders helmet 2002-03. A great piece of game-used sports memorabilia from a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
