This is likely one of the most distinctive and unusual artifacts from Hall of Famer Rod Woodson an 11-time Pro Bowler in 17 NFL seasons. He holds the NFL record for interception returns for touchdowns (12) and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1993. His 71 career interceptions is the third-most in NFL history. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009 on his very first ballot and is considered one of if not the greatest defensive backs of all-time.

This extraordinary throwback game-worn jersey is from the 1994 season his fifth consecutive campaign to include a Pro Bowl nod. The club's throwback jerseys through the years have consistently been among the most unusual in the league sniggering about bumble bees aside and the ornate embroidered 10-inch castle coat of arms on this shirt ranks it near the head of the class. With vertical black screened stripes and a "V" design element running from the shoulders this jersey likely avoids the bumble bee references and yet maintains a striking presentation. Photo research (a different player attached) indicates the Steelers wore their throwbacks in week 3 (Sept. 18 1994) vs. the Indianapolis Colts a 31-21 victory at Three Rivers Stadium.

Woodson's white tackle twill No. 26 is affixed to the front left breast near the shoulder. Steelers Starter tag appears on the front left tail with Size 46 flag tag attached. The NFL 75th anniversary embroidered logo patch and the Starter logo patch appears on both shoulders. "Woodson" is in black tackle twill affixed to a yellow nameplate on the back directly above his "26" in the same fashion. The Hall of Famer has added a striking silver Sharpie autograph to his number. Shows significant game use most notably on the lower right side at the shirttail where there is a large area of soiling (blood stains?) and also on and around the front white numbers.
