On Sept. 13 1998 the Baltimore Ravens traveled to Giants Stadium to face the New York Jets. After all the dust settled the Ravens had earned their first victory on the young season 24-10. A big reason for the W was the outstanding play of left cornerback Rod Woodson. The veteran defensive back had two interceptions on the day and returned the second one 60 yards for a touchdown to put the game away in the fourth quarter. For his miraculous efforts on the day which included six tackles Woodson was awarded three painted game balls. Two of them represent the two different INTs he recorded that day while the third is simply a Defense game ball. All of the official Wilson footballs have one white painted panel that includes Rod Woodson in gold along with the score and date of the contest.
