While living in the great state of Pennsylvania Rod Woodson was no stranger to putting his efforts time and money toward good causes. One of those charitable endeavors surrounded the Phi Sigma Kappa 1991 Superstars event at Penn State University. Now in its 30th year the daylong event currently pits teams of five or six girls against each other in an array of fun and competitive events. Superstars is held every year in memory of Brother Vincent Scott Sandoe who lost his battle to Leukemia in 1983. Since then the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity has held its philanthropy endeavor every year to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This lot includes an award Woodson was presented in 1991 by the fundraisers. The trophy boasts a beige molded Nittany Lion stretched across a wooden base with an engraved plaque on the front that reads: ROD WOODSON PHI SIGMA KAPPA 1991 SUPERSTARS. The trophy stands six inches tall by 9.5 wide and weighs just over five pounds.
