Nice piece from Rod Carew one of the greatest hitters in baseball history and a man with a lifetime batting average of .328 and seven batting titles on his Cooperstown resume. This white button-down knit jersey features "Angels" across the chest in red-on-navy tackle twill with a yellow tackle twill halo around the "A." Carew's No. 29 has been stitched to the front left and back in red-on-navy tackle twill and his name appears across the back in the same fashion. Each sleeve and the collar bear a navy-red-navy knitted stripe accent and the left sleeve bears the famed Angels halo embroidered patch. The colorful 1992 All-Star Tour is on the right sleeve directly above the black tackle twill letters DJ marking the passing of coach Deron Johnson. The Hall of Famer has added a handsome black Sharpie autograph beneath the Angels lettering on the front adding the date of his Cooperstown enshrinement HOF 7/21/91. Jersey shows appropriate wear for a coach with virtually no fraying of the delicate black and red stitching front and back. Comes directly from former relief pitcher Gregg Olson's personal collection.
