The 1982 MLB season was one for the record books for then-26-year-old Robin Yount of the Milwaukee Brewers. Not only did the shortstop extraordinaire lead his team to the American League pennant but he turned in one of the greatest single seasons statistically in history. He batted .331 launched a career-high 29 home runs and drove in 114 runs. He also led the A.L. in hits (210) doubles (46) and in slugging percentage (.578). What's more he played near-flawless defense at shortstop as he recorded a .969 fielding percentage and took home the only Rawlings Gold Glove Award of his career. For good measure he secured his second All-Star Game selection and his third Silver Slugger Award. Oh yeah he was also named the A.L. MVP.

This lot features Yount's autographed and game-worn 1982 Milwaukee Brewers home jersey from that miraculous season. The 100% nylon white v-neck pullover jersey with blue pinstripes sports proper manufacturer's tagging on the left front tail including the "Medalist Sand-Knit Size 40" tag adjacent to the other Medalist Sand Knit tag reading "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Milwaukee Brewers American League." A separate "100% NYLON" flag tag complete with washing instructions can be found on the inside left seam. Across the front of the jersey reads "BREWERS" in arched semi-circular fashion via royal blue tackle twill letters outlined in gold. Yount's trademark uniform number "19" follows in similar fashion on the left front breast. He has signed the front of the jersey in very clear black marker just below the team name. The back of the jersey holds a larger representation of his uniform number "19." The jersey shows incredible wear as each of the letters and numbers are noticeably fraying and puckering. On the inside bottom rear location is a separate sewn-in white cloth tag reading "82 40" to indicate the season worn and the size. An incredible baseball jersey from 1982 of an incredible player who turned in an incredible campaign.

Includes LOA from Robin Yount.
