Roberto Clemente was a remarkable right fielder who earned a pair of World Series rings with the Pittsburgh Pirates (1960 and 71). A 15-time All-Star he won 12 Gold Glove Awards and was named the MVP of the 71 Fall Classic after batting .414 for the series. Clemente signed his autograph in bright blue-ink across the sweet spot of this white ONL (Warren Giles) baseball. This is easily among the most aesthetically appealing and highest grading Clemente singles we have ever offered. His flowing script is unusually large and beautiful; its contrast against the white leather helps the writing jump off the ball making it readable from across a room! Clemente remains one of baseballs most magical names. The demand for his autograph continues to outpace the limited supply and single-signed balls of this quality are almost non-existent.
