This is the monthly version of the prestigious Hickok Athlete of the Year Award that was among the most unique and coveted awards proffered in professional sports. The gold belt buckle features a relief Hickok logo on the front with "RB" initials for Rick Barry engraved on it. The back of the buckle features stamping of "Hickok USA" and "Gold"; engraved on the back of the buckle is "Hickok Champ Nov. 1966 Rick Barry Basketball." The belt buckle appears to be in largely as-issued and problem-free condition; the 37-inch Alligator on Cowhide belt is intact but shows some of the expected cracking and curling over nearly a half century. The second element in the lot is an 8-by-6-inch wood plaque with a 5 3/4-by-4-inch metal nameplate engraved "Hickok Professional Athlete of the Month Rick Barry May 1975." Plaque appears to be largely as-issued with one larger scratch near the center top of the wood board and other minor tiny scratches on the edges.
