Treat yourself to an Oakland Raiders AFL Legacy throwback helmet worn by defensive lineman Richard Seymour in three games during the 2009 season his first with the Silver and Black after eight stellar seasons with the New England Patriots. Seymour went into battle wearing this Riddell XL helmet Sept. 9 (opening day) vs. San Diego Chargers Oct. 25 vs. New York Jets and Nov. 26 at Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving day. Seymour sacked Philip Rivers twice in the Raiders' 24-20 opening day loss to the Chargers by far his best performance of the three for the 7-time Pro Bowler and 3-time All-Pro.
The helmet carries two unique characteristics the most obvious being the throwback Raiders logo circa 1963. The second is the '95' decal on the back to honor teammate Marquis Cooper a linebacker who wore #95 for the 2008 Raiders before getting lost at sea in a boating accident in March 2009. Seymour's #92 appears in black decals on the back and is marked in black pen on the inside of both earholes. The padding on the inside of the helmet is completely in tact. Game use is evident from good size scratch on top of helmet. Chinstrap shows slight wear and tear. Aside from that all elements of the helmet seem to be in excellent largely as-issued and problem-free condition.
