This exceptional original 6 3/4" by 8 1/2" photo captures a classic confrontation between Russell and Chamberlain in the prime of their epic rivalry. The image was likely retained as part of Red Auerbach's personal collection of career mementos due to the poignancy of the image. Light editors markings outlining their figures suggest that the image was used for publication. The image is housed in a period frame with paper backing intact therefore disallowing inspection of the back of the photo for likely markings. Apparent EX-MT condition. Includes a letter of provenance from the Auerbach estate.
