No expense was spared in the celebration of Red Auerbach's eightieth birthday as is evident by the offered "invitation". The exclusive invitation is in the form of a fine felt lined 9 by 7 by 3 inch mahogany box. A porcelain inset on the lid featured Red's actual autograph (under glazed surface) at the top and invitation details for the extravagant event held at Boston's Algonquin Club on September 22nd 1997. A likeness of Red and a Celtics logo also adorn the lid in gold leaf. Mint condition. Includes a letter of provenance from the Auerbach estate.
