The Dr. James Naismith Peach Basket Award named in honor of the inventor of Basketball is given annually in recognition of an individuals outstanding contributions to the sport. Red Auerbach was selected to receive this honor in 1977. This 14x19 award features a screened image of Dr. Naismith a raised peach basket and a written history of the award. A list of prior recipients includes fellow basketball immortals John Wooden Dr. Forrest Allen and Adolph Rupp. Includes a letter of provenance from the Auerbach estate.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received.
