Frank Sinatra was one of the most popular and iconic entertainers of the 20th century forging a monumental career as an award-winning singer and film actor. He defined the classic American songbook for decades with verve and panache. This object brings together two national institutions the game of baseball and Old Blue Eyes himself. Only a few authentic Sinatra signed baseballs have surfaced in the marketplace making this a must have for any serious collector of single signed celebrity baseballs. His black ink signature and date March 9/81 appear on the side panel of an ONL (Feeney) ball rating 8/10. The ball is lightly toned overall with a few sports of darker toning on areas of the ball not affecting the autograph display. A rare classic piece of Americana.
