Big Brown won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes in 2008, falling just one leg short of horseracing's Triple Crown. His trainer was Richard E. Dutrow, Jr., whom this Kentucky Derby winner's ring was presented to. The face of the ring features the Derby trophy set inside a diamond studded horseshoe. The words "KENTUCKY DERBY 2008 encircle the face. On one shank is "BIG BROWN" and a rendering of Churchill Downs. The other shank features a rose with the last name "DUTROW" and "TRAINER" above and below it. The inside band is stamped "mtm 10K." The size 11.5 ring weighs 38.23 grams.
