In the late 1990's Best Western Hotels recruited retired basketball legends John Havlicek, Willis Reed, Walt Frazier and Bill Walton to do a TV commercial. Video of the interesting ad is included in the provenance here. Not surprising, the oft-injured Walton showed up in a cast so was not able to participate in the on-court play! Our consignor is a LA film producer, who wasn't a sports collector, but happened to collect one of the beautiful multi-signed Spalding NBA basketballs from that day. The four hoop heroes have signed in bold black marker. You could not ask for better autographs, each in their unique and recognizable penmanship style. We rate the signatures a 9-10/10! They're that nice. Accompanied with a Beckett COA.
Accompanying this four Hall of Famers inked jewel is a single-signed Spalding basketball from "The Admiral" himself, David Robinson, also obtained by our consignor at a filming for a commercial. Robinson, a Hall of Famer himself, has boldy autographed the ball in silver marker and inscribed his #50 and added a reference to a favorite bible verse, Matthew 5:13. This Robinson signature is in his artistic style, simply could not be any nicer, so a 9-10/10 rating, plus a Beckett COA.
