OAL(Harridge) baseball signed by 27 members of the 2nd place 1940 Brooklyn Dodgers originally from the personal collection of Hall of Fame shortstop Pee Wee Reese. Players are: Dolph Camilli Tex Carlton Hugh Casey Pete Coscarart Roy Cullenbine Chuck Dressen Leo Durocher(HOF) Wes Ferrell Fred Fitzsimmons Herman Franks Charlie Gilbert Luke Hamlin Johnny Hudson Newt Kimball Cookie Lavagetto Max Macon Gus Mancuso Van Lingle Mungo Babe Phelps Tot Pressnell(SS) Jimmy Ripple Vito Tamulis and Whit Wyatt. Ball was also signed by Mel Almada(SS) Lindsey Deal Carl Doyle and Bert Haas indicating it was probably signed during Spring Training 1940 as these players were with the Dodgers in 1939 (Haas 1938) but did not make the 1940 roster. Strong matching 7-8/10 overall vintage dark blue ink signatures on an evenly soiled baseball. Reese has added "Brooklyn Dodgers '40" at the top of the sweet stop in the same ink.
