When one thinks of the greatest players ever to wear the Baltimore Orioles uniform, Frank Robinson and Eddie Murray are certainly right near the top. Sure neither was an O's lifer like Cal Ripken Jr., Brooks Robinson or Jim Palmer, but both remain the franchise's only "true" 500 Home Run Club representatives (sorry, Rafael) and were easy first-ballot Hall of Fame selections. Featured here is a pair of game-worn jackets donned by "Robby" and "Steady Eddie."

Robinson was an Orioles coach 1978-80 when he wore this late 70s black satin jacket in the dugout. Tagged by Rawlings (size 44) on the interior, it even has specific "Frank Robinson 20" sewn-in tagging. His uniform number "20" is marked in black pen inside the rear collar as well. Frank spent six years with Baltimore as a player, three coaching and four as the team's manager beginning in 1988.

Murray wore the 1980s-era black satin jacket during his Orioles heyday when he was piling up All-Star appearances, Gold Gloves and Silver Sluggers as the team's star first baseman. He and Mickey Mantle remain the 500-HR Club's only switch-hitters, but it is Murray who holds the distinction of being the only member without a 40-homer season (hence, his nickname). The Starter jacket (size XL) has Murray's number "33" handwritten in black marker on the official MLB tagging inside the collar.

Both jackets have the same snap-button design, Nylon interior lining and color pattern, with the classic orange cursive "Orioles" logo across the chest, orange striped shoulders, and orange-and-black elastic trim around the neck, sleeves and waist. The only noticeable exterior difference is the pockets. Frank's coaching jacket shows slightly more wear and aging than Murray's player jacket. They remain as-issued and problem-free with no alterations. Both come from a passionate Orioles collector in the greater Baltimore area with strong ties to the team.
