Great pair of snapshot photos taken of baseball immortals Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb in 1918. Outstanding image of Babe Ruth as a member of the Boston Red Sox is crystal clear. Someone has written "Babe Ruth & Tommy Downey" at the bottom. Ty Cobb stands in full uniform with glove in another sharp early image. Photos are in great shape on the front but backs have large amount of black paper residue from album removal. Both show the player with the same youngster. Youngster appears to be the about the same age in both but is wearing his uniform slightly different. Pair would look great framed and matted together. Each photo measures 5" x 3-1/4".
